Part 4: Oral exam
Programme:
The third-year course aims to consolidate the upper-intermediate (B2) skills acquired in previous years and advance to the C1.1 level across the four communicative skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. A strong focus is placed on engaging with authentic English-language materials (newspaper articles, book excerpts, podcasts, news reports, political speeches, etc.). Furthermore, students will be invited to reflect metalinguistically on the varieties of English they encounter in authentic texts (e.g., register, regional and social variation). Students are strongly encouraged to attend lessons and are also expected to undertake considerable self-study outside class hours.

Students will also develop oral paraphrasing skills and will be required to give a group presentation on a comparative analysis of a feature of their choice of the English/Italian grammar system.
