LETTORATO LCLT III INGLESE 2025/2026
Canale B (I-Z): Monday 14:00-16:00 & Friday 12:00-14:00 in Aula 109 at Edificio Marco Polo.
The course begins on Friday 3rd October 2025.
The third-year course aims to consolidate the Upper-Intermediate (B2) skills acquired in the previous year and proceed to an Advanced (C1.1) level in the four core skills: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking.
A strong focus is placed on engaging with authentic English-language materials (newspaper articles, extracts from books, podcasts, news reports, speeches, etc.). Furthermore, students will be invited to reflect metalinguistically on the variations of English they encounter in authentic text sources (varieties of register, regional & social variations, US vs. British English, etc.).
Students are strongly encouraged to attend lessons and are also expected to do a considerable amount of self-study outside class hours.
Coursebook
TBD
Students must have this book by the second week of the course; they must purchase the book (print or digital version) to have access to the digital material, which will be used in class.
Final Exam
The final exam will be based on the course material covered in class, which will test grammar, vocabulary, written production, metalinguistic reflection and textual comprehension. The final exam will consist of a written and oral exam. Students must pass the written exam in order to be admitted to the oral exam. The marking criteria are transparently indicated on the sample tests and the exam paper. All exam registration details and procedures will be available on the CLA pages of the course CEL.
