Magistrale I: The course develops students’ English language skills at C1 level (CEFR), with particular emphasis on the use of English in academic contexts. Drawing on Ready for C1 Advanced (4th edition), students will work on reading, listening, speaking and writing, with a focus on understanding and analyzing complex texts in English, engaging with their content and presenting arguments effectively. Classes follow an interactive, student-centered approach based on individual tasks, pair and group work, discussion, problem-solving, as well as speaking and writing activities. Classroom work is complemented by homework and preparatory tasks, with regular feedback and revision. Additional handouts and supplementary materials will be provided where appropriate. For attending students only, a few lessons at the end of each semester will be dedicated to group or individual presentations. Students will present a project based on the exercises completed in class and as homework. The presentation will contribute to the final grade for the written exam.
